I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on March 17th, 1984. Time? 3:30 am. I'm 19 years old. My whole name is Ketty Lluany Viera Acosta. I live in Caracas. When I was 11, I lived in USA, in New York, till I was 16. My mom's name is Maglory, <I think it's a pretty name…> I'm 1.61 mts; I think I'm a tiny Elf, lol.

I like to play electric guitar, drums and bass. I love to listen to music, especially rock, nu-metal. I love Linkin Park, they're great. I like KoRn, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, Puddle of Mudd, Mudvayne, System of a Down, Metallica, Evanescence, P.O.D., Staind, and electronic music like Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers. Of course, not everything is nu-metal and metal in me, I like classical music too, music like Dido and Kylie Minogue, and some songs of Madonna, like "Frozen", I just love that song. Oh, and Savage Garden too, "Crash & Burn" is an excellent song.

Hey, don't think I'm crazy… lol. I love to meditate, think about life and things I can do for others. I love to read, draw and take care of my Bonsais, I think you've already seen them in the Gardening Thread. I'm taking care of the birds too, I have put some rice and water on my window, I love to see them come to eat and take a bath in the little pool I made for them. They're so sweet and cute… I love their singing.

Oh, and I have two dogs, too. A pit-bull and a mixed race one. Their names are "Wrinkle" and "Aboo" respectively. I love animals and nature, and I hate people that hurt trees and animals.

I'm an University student. I'm studying Graphic Design, so I think I can make some pretty drawings for the fanart section!

Firstly, my full name is Laura Traynor. I think overall it means “praised/victorious horse-trainer/champion”. Not sure which. Lol. My nickname is Shue, because Traynor sounds the same as trainer, as in the type of shoe. For some reason I don’t like the spelling of “shoe”, so I swapped the “o” for a “u” and got “Shue”! Lol. I think it looks better spelt that way…

I was born on November 12th, 1986, which makes me 16 at the moment (or as my grandad would say I’m in my 17th year). I share my birthday with none other than Craig Parker, known to my friends as “that guy who was that elf that got killed”. Lol. I think I was born at 7:57am, or some time around then. I live in a town called Ormskirk in Lancashire, England. It’s about 30 minutes away from Liverpool, and 45 minutes from Manchester. I’ve lived in the same house all my life with my mum and dad. I’m an only child, which is quite good in a way lol.

I’m currently in Lower Sixth at school (that’s Year 12 in England, which I think would be 11th Grade in the US. Not sure though). I’m studying Maths, Further Maths, French and Economics. I was taking Psychology as well, but I figure that doing 5 AS levels is a bit much. My favourite subject is Maths, as you can probably tell. Lol. Only problem is I make really stupid mistakes like 2x2=2 and 8-5=1. Lol. We have to do an enrichment activity for an hour a week at my school so I’ve chosen to do filmmaking which I'm hoping is going to be great! I want to go to university but I don't know what course I'm going to do there! I might take a year out before I go there and maybe travel to New Zealand and Australia.

I like most types of music, mainly if I can sing or dance to it lol. I love Coldplay, Blur (well their old stuff), U2, some songs by Travis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jamiroquai (especially the remix of ‘Space Cowboy'), and at the moment I absolutely adore The Darkness! My favourite song ever has got to be ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing’ by Aerosmith. I love that song! I used to play the violin and guitar, but gave up the lessons because I didn’t have enough free time and now I don’t want to take them up again because if I do I’ll have to cut my fingernails really short and have a mild phobia of see the ends of peoples fingers over their nails. *shudders* I even turn away when they do a close up of Elijah Woods hands in the LOTR films! Now I play the keyboard but only recreationally. I love playing music from LOTR on it! I like to sing, but others don’t like me singing lol. I have a kinda limited range lol.

I don’t play any sport because I’m too lazy (lol) but my favourite sport to watch is football (soccer). I support Everton Football Club, as do most of my family.

I think Orlando Bloom is the most gorgeous guy in the world!

Well, my life isn't exactly an interesting story. My full name is Eloise Cara Robbins and I was born on the sixth of September 1987 in Moris Town Memorial Hospital, Moris Town New Jersey. The reason I'm taking such time to tell you where I was born? Well, about a month after that day, we moved to Edinburgh, Scotland, where I've lived ever since. This makes me Scottish-American, and I'm very proud of both backgrounds!

Personality wise, I'm a bit of a strange one. When people first meet me, I'm the one that shakes hands politly then doesn't say anything unless I'm forced to. Once I get up my confidence though, its a completly different story! I'm completly crazy, mad, bonkers! I'm also what I like to call a cheery pessimist, I see the worst side of everything, but I smile and joke about it. I'm also incredibly thick. Academically, I'm ok, but as soon as it comes to common sense, my brain goes out the window. I've been nicknamed the master of stupidity and for good reason! I'm also the world's worst speller.

My interests are Karate, reading, hiking/ Duke of Edinburgh, writing and lord of the rings. (duh). I come across as a bit of a tomboy, don't be ashamed if you thought I was male, you won't be the last!

It's impossible for me to do a bio with out mentioning LOTR at least a bit. I was first introduced to the books when I was 12 and loved them ever since. I recently read the Silmarillion and I must confess, it replaced LOTR as my favourite book ever.

Anyway, you now know more about me than you ever wanted or needed to so I'll shut up!

Well, obviously, my full name is Fionnuala Anne McFarlane, but only my godmother calls me that! My parents call me Fi, and we "Anglicised" my name to Fiona anyway... no one could say it - teach parents for choosing me an Irish name! I was born in London and moved to Australia when I was 4, that is when my name offically changed... which I think is sad actually, because I really like Fionnuala as a name! So pretty!

Me stuff: I was born on the 30th of May 1984, which makes me 19 now. I'm Wiccan, which is a Pagan religion, so I guess that is an 'interesting' fact. I'm studying to be a primary teacher at Uni in my first year. It is a pretty fun course!

Funny Stuff: What do I find funny, almost everything! I love the cast commentary and interview on the extended version... but who doesn't?! I am always quoting the cast, (and Jamie Oliver... if you guys have him on TV!) and laughing at myself for doing it! Splinters are very funny things, as are partridges... and yes, I have quoted that whole section at a waiter in a resturant... he thought I was very strange! In case you can't tell I don't get very embarrassed, and do lots of stupid things... like they say, those who laugh at themselves will forever be amused!

The Movie: I think Dom, Billy, and Lij are so funny! They are quite possibly my fav cast memebers! Mainly coz they all seem to have a slightly off center sense of humor like me! My fav LoTR movie character is Elrond. Hugo Weaving does such an awesome job with him! And Gollum!! Andy Serkis is so amazing!! I think the best thing about the movie is that is bought the word 'nance' into everyday usage, so now people understand when I talk about someone nancing, I can say, "you know, like Legolas"... *runs from Legolas lovers*

The Book: My fav Tolkien book is RoTK, because it has such a diverse range of scale, you know... for really intimate Frodo and Sam moments right out to massive battle scenes! Amazing! And I love the tale of Beren and Luthien! The first book by Tolkien I read was Sil, when I was 10, and I really loved it... and then I read LoTR, I hadn't read the Hobbit until I was about 16! I like to do things backwards...

Obsession: Yeah, so like you all, I'm totally obsessive about LoTR... I find the word obLIJed very funny (yeah, I like him). You know those "how to tell you are obsessed" threads... I do the stupid things off those, for the hell of it... I have told one of my friends that if she was 'really' my friend she would learn elvish... I was really shocked a month later when she handed me a page (which was her attempt) of elvish, it was really funny, like most things...

Music: Well, I love matchbox 20, coldplay, idea of north (not that you know who they are!) miles davis, the LoTR soundtracks, celtic music,... well, actually, i can't think of much music I don't like, but I'm not the biggest fan of Heavy Metal... i guess it has its place though. Music plays a pretty big role in my life... I am always singing, I was in our school choir, and musicals... but haven't done anything since I left, I studied music up to the end of yr 12... I play the flute (about grade 7 or 8... but I don't do exams), and love to try to play tunes I hear by ear... coz it is fun. My fav keys are DMaj and Amin. Yeah, I'm really into music, but not in a really structured lesson way, kind of in a "I know the basics, i will play now" way.

But you must be very sick of listening to me talk about me! It is nice to read more about you all by the way!

Me: Well, where do we start? I'm 15, and "loon" probably best describes me. In fact, I'm a bit like Eloise: at first, I seem shy, but once you get to know me, well you probably will wish I was. I like to be stupid, and laugh for the sake of laughing - it is usually what I do with my friends, aside from playing rugby, cards, having cake fights, and discussing LOTR! We have a lot of fun. I am pretty crazy, adventurous, ever hungry, and well hopefully pretty laid back. I'm a tomboy pretty much - so to reiterate what Eloise said, if you thought I was a guy, you're not the first. I've lived in the land down under for my entire life, in fact, I've even been living in the same house for my entire life. And I wouldn't rather be anywhere else - whenever I go anywhere I get terribly homesick.

Interests: Besides the obvious, there is rugby league. Anyone who doesn't live in England or Australia probably doesn't know much about it, or care much about it, but for me it is part of my way of life - Broncos, State of Origin, NRL, etc. are all words which mean much to me and little to my friends :p. I like sports of all kinds, though I'm not particularly talented at any of them - surfing is a favourite. I've lost track of how many times I've fallen off my surfboard and it's hit me in the head though (I wonder why). And then just generally movies, and music - including frank sinatra, david bowie, coldplay, the white stripes, the vines, the strokes, and the list goes on...I also love animals very much, and my dog keeps me very busy with his bad behaviour ...

Umm what else do I say? I was introduced to LOTR through the movies, fell in love with it, read the books, and got completely hooked. That's pretty much me, my life isn't a thrilling story. One the only things worthy of a story is the time I fell of the trampoline, broke my arm and now have a very crooked arm (it scares people- I'm proud of my battle scar). And I'm saving up to hopefully throw myself off a bridge at the end of the year! Yes that's right, I'm heading to NZ, and hoping to go bungy jumping...fingers crossed!

Me: Okay, my full name is Denise Marie Kukich (maiden name Brown), but everyone calls me by one of my nicknames, which "Lorien" is the one I will most likely reply to. As for other nicknames there are many: cuffs (don't ask), tigger, hoochie momma, etc. Sheesh. I was born on December 6th, 1977, which makes me 25. I received my BA in Chemistry at the College of Wooster in Ohio. Now, I am a doctoral student starting my fourth year with the Dept. of Environmental Sciences at the University of North Carolina, and hope to join the ranks of the EPA when I complete my degree. I'm also a sorority girl for life (Epsilon Kappa Omicron) and have been married now over two years.

Personality: I'm a very outgoing person, who has no problem telling people how it is. I'm also very driven and a bit obsessive compulsive; so, when I set my mind to something, it needs to be completed that day or it drives me nuts!! My friends know that if they need me, I am always there for them no matter what. I am usually a very positive, happy person, willing to give hugs to any and all who need them, but I do have my quirky, weird, wild side too..... mwuahahahhahaha Let's just say my mother put the "I hope you have a kid just like you" curse on me a LONG time ago.

Interests: LotR is a given and obsessed doesn't even begin to describe the situation! My favorite book of the series, though, is The Silmarillion. I'm probably so enthralled with that book because I also love Greek and Egyptian Mythologies. Obviously, I am an environmental activist. However, I also love to go dancing, bar-hopping, hanging out with the girls, jogging, rock-climbing, yadda yadda yadda.... Needless to say, I can be a very active, VERY busy girl at most times!

Sports: Hockey and football....yeah, like I'd miss watching a tight end....

Music: I like just about everything, from country (well, hey, I DO live in the south) to classical (great for writting papers) to heavy metal (great for getting your frustrations out). I have no favorites, as that just wouldn't be fair, but do have a huge variety of stuff on my mp3 player.

Okay...I think I've rambled on long enough.

Personal Info: My full name is Valerie Lynnette Cooper and I live in Alberta Canada. I work full time as an Animal Care Coordinator and am very much older than the rest of the Realm (at least 10 years on Lorien_Greenleaf!). I live with my partner of 9 years in a small bedroom community outside of Edmonton. We have no children (yet), but we share our home with two cats (Sheena and Lateefa) who think it is their house... I also have two horses (who stay on different farms), both Arabian mares (Amber and Toi). I also follow the Wheel of the Year, favoring the Celtic holidays (2nd Harvest is in a week and a half). I am not Wiccan or Neopagan, but if a title has to be given I am probably closer to a Celtic Christian.

Interests: I like horses (obviously) and animals, nature and outdoor activities. I am ecologically and environmentally minded, but not an activist. I love to read books, mostly science fiction & fantasy. I am a LOTR/Tolkien/Legolas fanatic that spends a lot of time in the closet about it because of my age (not sure if there are too many other 'fanatics' my age out there). I love to watch movies of the same genre as the books I read and many of my favorite TV programs are the same also. I like a wide variety of music anywhere from Enya to Vangelis, Nickleback to Audioslave, Def Leppard to Metallica, and all things in between, except for rap/hip hop. I love to dance so if the music can be danced to (by me), I like it. I also enjoy volleyball, curling and hope to get into some Irish Dance lessons pretty quick. I ride my horses also and occasionally get a night out at a dance club to let my hair down. I love to have a 'pint' with friends at the local pub and a night of playing board games. Not all together exciting, but it is somewhat a satisfying life that I lead... A 'been there, done that' kind of thing.

Personality: Well, I will let you guys figure that out if you like because it can be somewhat difficult to be honest about oneself. I am a Gemini (May 25) and I do have Geminian tendancies (talk with my hands, prone to outbursts of verbal diarrhoea, high energy), but I also share the 'twin' syndrome of being less energetic, reflective and sometimes even pessimistic. I have deep opinions about humanity and nature, the interaction that is being exploited by us and the great desire for things to be a little simpler and more peaceful.

Me: Hi, I'm Simbelmyne (Sim, Simbel, any abbreviation, I answer to most things) and I've been on the Council since September 2002 ~ about a year now. I read LOTR at eight, the hobbit at six and the Silmarillion at 10. I'm also a very loud and hyperactive person, although sometimes I like just to calm down and shut up. Whee!

Anyway...more about me...what's to tell? I've been in the Realm since the 6th of August, and joined because I had friends in the realm, and also because I have some of the traits and couldn't decide. Turns out for me it was a good choice ~ with the website, all the threads and lots I can enjoy, I'm really enjoying it.

Interests: Music is probably my biggest interest. Like Ainu, it's literally my life (although I keep getting new Horn teachers and never knowing when I'm going to have lessons...grrr ) I play the French Horn, which is my absolute favourite instrument, and I also learn steel pans and teach myself piano, although I'm not very good at it. I also love composing and arranging pieces, and really want to learn musical theory sometime.

For me, music is only second to Lord of the Rings, my biggest love, mainly because it combines almost everything I love ~ art, music, reading and is just generally a great thing.

I also really like art and drawing, and recently (inspired by Ainu's beautiful art in her calligraphy articles for the LHH) have taken up calligraphy, even though being a leftie makes it harder to do (which is why I write with the nibs back to front). I started it on holiday after spotting an art shop, going in to see if they had stuff and buying the goods, because there are literally no proper art shops that just do nibs and stuff around where I live apart from a big place called Hobbycraft, which only seems to do sets.

Music I like...obviously LOTR soundtrack and stuff, but I also love jazz (After doing it non-stop for about four days) and lots of stuff I can never remember the name of.

And reading and writing...these are two things I love. I read Tolkien, Tamora Pierce, Harry Potter, Philip Pullman etc. and I guess I generally write with a similar style. I love researching articles, especially on topics I like, but can often be disorganised ~ there's a lot of half-finished stories lying around somewhere!

Another of my favourite things to do is design sites. I have two of my own, and want to do another one, and also did a bit on the RoL site too. I'm a computer geek

Personality: My personality varies between three moods: hyper, normal and quiet. When I'm hyper I babble a lot, am pretty prone to verbal diarrhea and if I'm like this, I'm pretty unstoppable.

When I'm not hyper, I'm normally at my normal kind of stage ~ reasonably confident, organised, still talking a lot and laughing but not too hyper. Honest.

If I'm not either of those, I'm actually quiet and reasonably relaxed. This is probably what I'm like when I need to work, and sometimes when I'm being serious.

But I'm hyper most of the time. Give me sugar!!!!

Background and Personality: I live in the US but I want to move to New Zealand once I am old enough. I was born on August 10, 1989. I've lived on a farm since I was three and I own 13 dairy goats currently, though I will probably have a lot more in the spring because we breed them. I also have 2 horses (a thoroughbred and a Tennessee Walker), 3 dogs (a border collie, Great Pyrenees, and a beagle), 8 cats, a lot of chickens, 1 parakeet, and 4 fish. For my personality, I am not very social, but I'm not shy at all. I am normally friendly to people. I am also very different from people and am proud of it.

Interests: Of course, I love Lord of the Rings, the Sil, Unfinished Tales, The Hobbit, etc. I think the movies are okay, but the books are a lot better. I also play the violin, and I love to draw and read. I love to be outside with my animals and I don't know what I'd do if I had to leave my farm and move to a place that is less than at least 10 acres. Oh, yeah, I am in 4-H in Carroll County, Md.

Personal Stuff: My full name is Lena Set Elfman. (funny, huh?) I was born in Aswan Egypt on September 8th, 1978. Which makes me (now)...twenty-five! With my family, I moved around A LOT. From Egypt to Japan, Japan to New Zealand (woot!), New Zealand to London, and London to Texas!

Here I reside happily outside Houtson. I have my little ranch that consists of too many types of animals to count! I have lived here for seven years. When I was twelve my father was murdered in Aswan. My eldest sister comitted suicide in London. My mother drove off a bride with my middle sister in the passenger seat. I lived with my Aunt and Uncle. Now I take care of them.

Enough of the past sadness. Anywhoooo...
My big sister, Elise, was married and had a daughter named Abby. I love my niece. She's so cool. Her father's name is Hiro.

Umm.. I train horses, dogs, pretty much anything you want me to train.. And I teach Archery.

Interests:
Music: I love everything that isn't country, rap, or hip hop. But that's just me. I love hard rock, and I listen to my niece's rock station all the time. ^^ My favourite current bands are Queens Of The Stoneage, White Stripes, Evanescence, and Johnny Cash. RIP!

Movies: LOTR, LOTR, LOTR! Pretty much the main interest movie-wise. Then again, there is Chicago, POTC, Sleepy Hollow, and Queen Of The Damned.

Books: My favourite authors include J.R.R. Tolkien, Anne Rice, Robert Jordan, Patricia C. Wrede, Terry Pratchett, and Clive Cussler. LOTR LOTR LOTR! The Vampire Chronicles! Whell Of Time! Dealing With Dragons! Discworld! Lots of books I can't name!

Born on 5th December 1987, a latecomer in my class. I love to talk with my friends and kinda shy with new friends though. I love books especially LOTR books and I am trying to collect them. I also like to read mythological stuff from Greece and Egypt. I don't like homeworks though even though they're books

I still enjoy watching cartoon and childish movies, playing, laughing for no good reason and collecting stuff that is collectable. I could lose my temper real easy when my mood is not good which is rare except when I'm doing my homework which is a BIG whole bunch of them!!!

If you look in my profile I put that my real name is Marie, but it's not. It's really my middle name. Haha I have fooled everyone! That's what I go by in the online world. My real name is Jackie, which is short for Jaclyn. I also go by Jack, Jacks, Jacksie, or anything that rhymes with Jack. I was born on August 6, 1984 in the same city that I live in now. Outside my house is my footprint from when I was about 2 years old. The cement was being poured for the sidewalk and I stepped in it! I'm allergic to any live virus imunizations. When I was a baby I had a horrible reaction to the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) shot. I also have this skin condition called eczema, which is basically a really bad rash caused by an allergic reaction to something. My doctor told me that's the reason why I can never have any live viruses injected into me. I'm half Polish, a quarter Italian, and a quarter Irish. My great-great-grandparents on my Italian side came from Florence and my Irish family came from County Cork. The Polish half of me is from somewhere in central Poland, not quite sure exactly where.

My full name is Rebecca Abigail Lindsay. I'm 27, born May 7th 1976, in Boston, Mass. I live in Connecticut, USA, I'm an amateur linguist, and I love reading, especially science fiction and fantasy. I'm Buddhist. My undergraduate degree is in dance and art. Undergraduate=college, or what I think would be called Uni in the u.k. I do a Brazilian dance form/martial art called Capoeira. I love the silmarillion. I'm a nurses' aide in a nursing home (old folks home/convalescent home, whatever you want to call it-- I think now they say "Long Term Care". I use Linux and os X. I like running, yoga and meditation, not necissarily in that order. I live with my significant other of three years. English is my native language but I also speak spanish and Portuguese. I like Science Fiction conventions. What else? I like to write haiku.

OK, my bio. Guess I'll start with some basics. I am 5'6" or 5'5" depending on whether it's morning or night. I have black cherry hair (black-ish brown with natural red highlights), am 16. I have 4 brothers, T.J., Jared, Sam, and Brian, and my sister Terry (TizWiz or Tizzy as we all call her) and then two half brothers Mike and Jake. Um... I love Pippin/Billy Boyd, 80's movies, early 90's music, swimming, running, and dancing.

I have two puppies (dogs, but they are my babies) who I love more than anything. The big fuzzy golden one is Danny, a wheaton terrier, and the small scrappy one that barks a lot is Shady (mix breed, half fox, we found her on the high way). I always get up and watch the sun rise from my roof (it has a nice easy slant so it's comfortable to sit on) and also sunsets. If I could i'd live on a boat so I could always watch it without obstruction by houses.

I love wide open spaces, country, nature, camping (the real way, thank you) playing soccer. I have so much more, but how many people will actually read this?
